An uproar was caused by what the lawyer of some of the 26 defendants in the trial for the 12-year-old girl in Colonos argued on Thursday morning in the wake of the prosecutor’s acquittal proposal for Ilias Michos regarding the crimes of rape and pimping.
As he argued while speaking to OREN, “unfortunately, the little girl had chosen a certain lifestyle in order to survive” to then say after the reactions of the journalists “but don’t you know that it was issued from the case file?”.
In particular, Ms. Pantazi began her presentation by saying “don’t put the lack of violence in opposition to consent and consensus. Consent cannot be given by a minor but there is an offence. What does it mean, for example, that my principals are accused of collusion for a fee? It means they didn’t hit her but gave her money. Unfortunately, it turns out that she (including the 12-year-old) had chosen a certain lifestyle in order to survive. It’s a tragedy for all of us.”
When the journalists present reacted to what the lawyer said, Mrs. Pantazi said that “it is a tragedy for all of us. But don’t you know that it was issued from the case file? Unfortunately, it’s a tragedy and we say it’s all our fault.”

Regarding the proposal of the trial prosecutor, the lawyer said that “you may like it or not, but it was a thorough and justified proposal” adding that during the process 12,500 persuasive electronic messages were presented that she exchanged with the first accused “but the crime of pimping or rape does not arise but exploitation that was emotional”.
The mother’s defense attorney, Apostolos Lytras, spoke on “Kalimera Greece” about the prosecution’s proposal, regarding the case of the rape of the 12-year-old from Kolonos.
Mr. Lytras stated that it was a prosecutor who did not expect her, characterizing her as provocative and that he believes that the court will not have the same opinion as the prosecutor.
“Especially when the prosecutor mentioned several times that she believes the 12-year-old. It was testified by psychologists, a psychiatrist who monitors her that she is telling the truth. The prosecutor did not give reasons. Essentially, he says that the 12-year-old is lying about the rape. That is why it is a provocative proposal, which I believe will be overturned. It is not possible for so many people who do not know the mother to be in her favor in court”.
He said of course that it is a given that there was neglect of a minor by the mother.
He underlined that “there is a message from the main accused who tells the 12-year-old girl ‘bring me half the money’, for which the prosecutor said he said it to her as a joke”.
Regarding the prosecutor’s proposal for the mother, whose lawyer he is, he stated that there are prosecutors and a judge who have a different opinion.
“On the part of the main accused, they believe that the mother did not know what was happening to him.”
Finally, regarding the charge of rape, for which the prosecutor requested that the main defendant be acquitted, she emphasized that indeed “there must be violence or the threat of violence. However, the 12-year-old has stated that she did the acts with a threat. He showed her weapons and threatened her. These weapons were found in the police investigation.”
