PRONOS PARIS RMC The bet of the day for June 28 – ATP Wimbledon

Our prediction: Nadal beats Cerundolo and less than 28.5 games (1.72)

Where is Rafael Nadal with his foot? Apparently he no longer feels pain and this is very good news for the Majorcan who will play a first round well within his reach. The Spaniard, winner of the first two Grand Slams of the season is obviously aiming for the title here. “Rafa” never shows up at a tournament if he has no intention of winning it. Wimbledon is the major that does him the least well with “only” two successes in 2008 and 2010. We will obviously have to see how he feels on grass and if his game is in line with this surface. In exhibition at Hurlingham, the Spaniard won his match once morest Wawrinka before losing to Auger-Aliassime. These are the only references we have for the 4th in the world who has not played on grass in official competition since Wimbledon 2019 and a defeat once morest Roger Federer. This time the competition will be much less strong with Cerundolo who has only played three matches on grass in his career. I think Nadal is going to want to start strong to preserve his physique and that’s why I would bet on his success in less than 28.5 games for an odds of 1.72!
