Dear fellow citizens,
Dear fellow citizens,
By the act of sacrificing the sheep, which we performed this morning, we renewed our submission to Allah, the Almighty and the Merciful. This moment, which brings families together within the Ummah, is conducive to celebration and reflection.
I take this solemn occasion to send you a message of peace and national reconciliation. The riots that recently rocked our country have caused the loss of human life and great suffering for many citizens. They left deep scars. It is time for us to resume the path of peace and brotherhood that has always characterized the Senegalese people.
Tabaski is a celebration of sharing and solidarity, a time when we must come together with families and friends, but also as a Nation. This is the time for each of us to look to each other, beyond our differences of opinion, by acting together for a more harmonious future that will allow us to meet the economic, social and political challenges we face. confronted.
I also call on the authorities of our country to comply without delay with the conclusions of the national dialogue, as the President of the Republic has undertaken to do. Their duty is to take into account the resolutions resulting from this dialogue and to implement the concrete and rapid measures that are required.
We must consolidate our democratic institutions, restore the rule of law by organizing an inclusive presidential election. We must ensure fairness and justice for all citizens. This is the imperative condition to preserve our national unity and allow us to build the future to which the Senegalese aspire.
Dear compatriots,
In this time of celebration, let’s take the time to question our own actions and cultivate tolerance and mutual respect. Let us be convinced that together we can overcome the difficulties and overcome the obstacles to build a future of peace, stability and prosperity for our country.
Let’s give hope to our great Senegal!
I wish everyone a happy and peaceful Tabaski.
Long live Senegal!
Long live Africa!
