Recently, the “Glimmer in the Building – Parent-child Reading and Sharing Good Time in Xiaolou” activity was launched at the Infant and Child Growth Station of Fudong Community, Xin’anjiang Street, Jiande City, inviting parents and children to participate in the reading activity.
“Three-year-olds look older, seven-year-olds look older. Early childhood is the lowest cost stage for children to accept. By developing a good habit of reading, it will help children develop in an all-round way in the future.” At the beginning of the activity, the community propagandist started from “The meaning of reading” , “Reading Methods”, “Reading Misunderstandings”, and “Reading to Accompany Growth” introduce the important role of parent-child reading in children’s growth, aiming to establish a correct concept of parent-child reading, and carry out it step by step through appropriate guidance. Parent-child reading can prevent children from becoming resistant to reading due to inconvenience. Afterwards, parents interacted warmly with their children, and stimulated their children’s interest in picture books and their contents through gentle guidance, so that children could get close to picture books, read actively, and immerse themselves in the world of picture books… The children played happily together, and the parents gathered together to talk. , share the good time of reading, and promote the harmony of neighborly relations through communication.
Fudong Community meets the cultural needs of residents through continuous reading activities, greatly enriches the spiritual world of residents, and lays a good mass foundation for building a healthy and harmonious “Bookish Fudong”. In the next step, the community will make full use of the venue space to carry out a variety of reading activities in bookstores, book bars, and book corners to further stimulate the people’s enthusiasm for reading and enjoy a home filled with books.
