Among them, two events in our province have been selected, namely the Jinjiang City Grassroots Village Level Men’s Basketball League and the Fuzhou City Minhou County “Yingxin Cup” Men’s Basketball Game.
According to reports, the Jinjiang grassroots village-level basketball tournament has been held for 16 consecutive years. The competition system and scale have been continuously improved and innovated, becoming the benchmark for grassroots basketball leagues in the industry and known as the Fujian Village Basketball CBA. With the development of digital technology, the event also innovatively launched the “Internet + Basketball” model and adopted an “online + offline” simultaneous live broadcast, which greatly enhanced the reputation and influence of the game.
The Minhou “Yingxin Cup” men’s basketball game has been held for 13 consecutive years. The event not only enriches the amateur cultural life of cadres and workers in various government units, townships (streets) in Minhou County, but also creates a good atmosphere for national fitness.
In July 2023, the State Sports General Administration issued the “Notice on Carrying out the Case Recommendation of the First Batch of Mass “Three Major Balls” High-Quality Events” to carry out the first batch of mass “three major ball” quality tournament case recommendation work for all social organizations. Nearly 300 “Three Major Ball” event cases that take root at the grassroots level and serve the masses have been recommended and submitted across the country.
Subsequently, the Group Department of the State Sports General Administration, together with the Chinese Football Association, the Chinese Basketball Association, and the Volleyball Sports Management Center, invited industry experts and special reporters to carry out review and recommendation work, and finally determined the preliminary list of the first batch of mass “three major ball” quality event cases, including There are 18 football events, 26 basketball events, and 10 volleyball events.
The selected event cases are rich in form, distinctive, and have a high degree of public participation. There are events that showcase grassroots characteristics and traditional characteristics, as well as events that highlight themes such as sports, cultural tourism, and opera, promoting rural revitalization, civilization and harmony.
