The Vietnam Trade Office in Algeria, in coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Algerian province of Seybouse-Annaba, organized an exchange of views on April 29 to present the potential for cooperation, import- export and investment between Vietnam and Algeria.

During the exchange, Mohamed Biar, vice-president of the Provincial Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Annaba, presented the economic potential of the province of Seybouse-Annaba as well as investment opportunities in the areas of commerce , industry, agriculture and tourism.
He expressed his hope that Vietnamese companies would invest in Seybouse-Annaba in areas such as fishing, aquaculture, mechanical manufacturing, tourism and processing of agricultural products.

Speaking at the event, Trade Advisor Hoang Duc Nhuan highlighted the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Algeria, wishing to further promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation and good political relations between the two countries.
He introduced Vietnam’s economic situation, foreign trade and international integration, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries in recent times as well as trade promotion activities in the coming time. On this occasion, the Vietnam Trade Office in Algeria also presented samples of Vietnamese products such as coffee, pepper, cashew kernels, coconut rice…
Algerian companies present at the event expressed their interest in importing aquatic products (pangasius, tuna, shrimp), trailers, profiled steel, railway equipment… and wished to export dates, onions, garlic… and cooperate with Vietnamese partners in the field of mining for the production of cement, fertilizers, processing of agricultural products…
At the event, the two sides also discussed measures to strengthen economic and trade relations in the coming times, such as actively promoting trade delegation exchanges, organizing more trade seminars and establishing conditions allowing companies to participate in international fairs and exhibitions organized in each country…
During his stay in Seybouse-Annaba, the representative of the Vietnam Trade Office in Algeria visited a number of local companies operating in aquaculture and steelmaking.
