Promoting art and artists within companies is the objective pursued by the Toulouse association “Collection Priv’art”. Its ambition: to bring together two dissimilar worlds so that they enrich each other by promoting exchanges between artists from different worlds and entrepreneurs wishing to bring color and spark creativity within their company. By becoming members they benefit from a certain number of privileges. They can decorate their walls with original creations or display digital works by the association’s artists on screen in social areas in order to create a positive and stimulating working atmosphere.
Commission-free intermediation
They also have the possibility of organizing artistic events for their employees and visitors, or, during large events, to highlight their establishment using the video mapping technique. Non-profit, Collection Priv’art pursues a policy of promoting art that is completely disengaged. “We serve as an intermediary between artists and companies but unlike a gallery owner, we do not take commissions,” explains Jean-Pierre Dumont, its president. A president who is himself an entrepreneur and interior designer and has a particular sensitivity for artistic expression. It was from his meeting with a local painter, Sylvie Abadie-Bastide that Collection Priv’art was born. They share a background in Fine Arts, he knows the business world well and she organizes art exhibitions in the Toulouse region. “With Jean-Pierre we complement each other and we said to ourselves that we had to do something for art and artists,” confides the painter. Designed in July 2022, Collection Priv’art really saw the light of day last summer on the occasion of the event “De l’Eau et des Rêves” a sound and light show on the history of the Canal du Midi at the Château de Bonrepos-Riquet which welcomed 4,500 spectators. To date, the association already has around thirty members.
