After several months of rumours, Carl Pei, former OnePlus executive, confirmed his next major project. Now at the head of the British start-up Nothing, with which he has already launched wireless headphonesthe firm will now embark on a market that is competitive to say the least: that of smartphones.

This week, Nothing announced the upcoming arrival of its first phone, the Nothing Phone (1). The manufacturer even took the opportunity to deliver some details about it. In particular, we learned that the idea will be to offer an open ecosystem, compatible not only with the brand’s other products, including headphones Nothing ear (1)but also with products from other manufacturers, such as Apple’s AirPods.

Nothing also announced that the smartphone will offer a clean Android interface, but with an in-house launcher, also offered to all users, Nothing OS. This will be available from April.
