Big game for the battle of 4th place was played in Patras, with Prometheus beating Aris 70-57 and making it 2 out of 2 in the matches between them. The protagonist was Hunter Hale with 16 points (2/6 three-pointers), 4 rebounds and 3 assists, with Anthony Cowan following and adding 14. On the Mars side, Vassilis Toliopoulos had a good presence as usual (13 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists), however the “yellows” had quite a bit of difficulty in scoring. Now the two teams are tied at 11-8, with Papatheodoros’ team however having the upper hand in the tie.
Dimitris Katsivelis, who left injured in the first part (he competed only 4’53”), went to the Patras hospital to undergo an MRI on his knee.
The race
Prometheus entered the game very strongly, while Ares was finding his footing. The Patriots got off to a blistering 11-3 start, with Hale and Cowan leading the offense for Papatheodoros’ team. However, Prometheus withstood the pressure, found the required solutions and celebrated the victory with 70-57.
