The former ruling party, the Rainbow RPG, does not miss the opportunity to denounce the prolonged detention of party officials at the Central House of Conakry.
Ibrahima Kassory Fofana, Amadou Damaro Camara, Oyé Guilavogui, Mohamed Diané and others have been in prison for more than 2 years despite requests for provisional release requested by their lawyers.
Within their political party, those responsible denounce the slowness in the procedure concerning them at the level of the Court for the Repression of Economic and Land Offenses (CRIEF).
“Until now they are locked up and we are looking for evidence,” lamented Marc Yombouno, member of the national leadership of the RPG during a rally of his party in Gbessia.
For Alpha Condé’s party, this situation does not promote a peaceful socio-political climate in Guinea.
“Those who are in prison today without proof, will that create a good social climate, what will their families think?”, he asks.
During his last hearing at the CRIEF, the former president of the National Assembly, Amadou Damaro Camara requested provisional release so that he can rejoin his family.
Marc Yombouno says he is surprised to know that this request has not yet benefited from a favorable response despite the deterioration of his state of health.
“He asked for a grievance to stay in his family environment only, because for someone who is over 60 years old, immobilization in a small cell causes other illnesses. Unfortunately the judicial agent refuses. We still ask to continue doing another exam. It’s a shame for a personality who served the country,” said the former Minister of Commerce.
