The singer is trying to develop his career, but more than once he complained regarding the lack of money. He owns a car and several apartments that he inherited following the death of his wife. At the same time, the performer quite often moves around the city using underground transport.
39-year-old Prokhor Chaliapin often talks regarding himself on his personal blog and on various TV shows. The artist admitted that he dreams of a luxurious life. Despite this, he regularly uses the subway and believes that it is not only convenient and safe, but also a reason for pride.
According to Chaliapin, he has a car, but he rarely drives it. The singer prefers to use public transport. He said that he bought himself an unlimited travel ticket for a year for almost 20 thousand and now he can use both the metro and surface transport. In the program “The Stars Came Together” on NTV, Prokhor admitted that he was afraid of taxis and tried to avoid traveling with unfamiliar drivers. The contractor specified that he had unpleasant memories of an accident in which he got many years ago. “These drivers are endlessly talking on the phone, watching something in the navigator. My hands are starting to shake. I had an accident as a child and I’m scared, ”he explained, adding that he also refused a taxi in order to save money.

Prokhor said that he feels comfortable in the subway. He is not recognized as he tries not to stand out in the crowd. The artist covers his face with a mask, and puts a hood on his head. Chaliapin explained that one should not be shy regarding traveling by public transport and consider it something humiliating. He believes that movement speed often plays a more important role than status. “It surprises me that some stars, colleagues say: “Do you ride the subway?” I know billionaires who ride the subway. The subway is the luxury of the city, this is not a sign that you are poor, ”the performer indicated his position in the TV show.
In December 2021, Chaliapin said that he had purchased an expensive foreign car. The cost of the singer’s car is regarding 15 million rubles. The purchase of Prokhor surprised the public, since shortly before that, the artist complained that he did not have money to repair the apartments that he had left following the death of his wife. Tatiana Davis died two months following the wedding. At one of the social events, she contracted the coronavirus and died in the hospital, unable to cope with the consequences of the disease. After the tragedy, it became known that before the wedding, Tatyana bought several apartments in Moscow. A millionaire from Canada issued them to her husband, since she is not a citizen of Russia. Chaliapin admitted that he was not going to give away the property and intended to dispose of the housing at his own discretion. The artist planned to renovate the apartments and rent them out. However, Prokhor himself does not know how to do anything, and he did not have enough money to hire workers.

In the show “The Stars Came Together” Chaliapin admitted that despite the fact that he grew up in a private house, he never learned to do something around the house. According to the singer, he can sometimes come and help clear the paths from snow. Prokhor remembered how one day a neighbor called him and said that dry grass had to be removed, since it was not safe. The artist arrived at the site and saw that the grass had grown from him. Chaliapin admitted that he did not do anything, but only prayed that there would be no fire. “That’s not why my mother gave birth to me! I don’t do anything at all, ”the performer explained.
