The fact that people of different origins can live together in peace and harmony depends not least on successful and sustainable integration work. Thousands of Upper Austrians strive every day to create appropriate offers.
In order to bring those associations, initiatives, individuals, educational institutions, companies and communities that promote integration and coexistence in the federal state to the front of the curtain, the state of Upper Austria is once more awarding the Integration Prize this year.
The three categories ” language and work” (language teaching and integration into the labor market), ” respect and values” (respectful and courageous cooperation) and ” Volunteering” (voluntary commitment for people with a refugee background).
The prize is not only intended to honor existing commitment, but also to encourage other people to “continue to offer committed and innovative formats in the field of integration,” says Social Provincial Councilor Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer (ÖVP).
Projects for each category can be submitted online on the country’s website until August 31 (e-gov.ooe.gv.at) be submitted.
