Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Government, through the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, continues with the planning process for the sewage system and effluent treatment plant project for the city of Ñemby, in the department of Central.
In this context, the coordinator of Drinking Water, Sanitation and Hydraulic Works, Pablo Adorno, held a meeting with the mayor of that municipality, Tomás Olmedo, during which they agreed to begin the feasibility studies and field work for the presentation of the preliminary project.
In this regard, he reported that the MOPC will gather data from the city to develop a preliminary sewerage project and that the planned improvements constitute a strong commitment to improving water and sanitation in the country, with the support of the authorities of the ministerial portfolio.
He also highlighted the excellent reception by the municipal authorities and hopes that this close collaboration will soon mark a turning point in public health and the environment of the city, which will represent a major step towards sustainable development and the modernisation of wastewater management for the benefit of the entire population.
