The Bern-Mittelland Regional Conference (RKBM) is the development agency for the Bern-Mittelland region. It is committed to future-oriented, cross-municipal solutions – for the benefit of the more than 400,000 residents. In the RKBM, 74 municipalities work together in partnership and make binding decisions on regional issues in the areas of spatial planning, transport, culture, regional policy, energy advice and the economy. The technical and political work is coordinated at the office.
The spatial planning department is responsible for the planning requirements of the prosperous region. This requires regional master planning that is coordinated with the member communities. In particular, it is important to coordinate settlement and transport in order to create high-quality settlement development with a high level of location attractiveness. At the same time, landscape diversity must be promoted.
Project manager in the area of spatial planning (80%)
Your most important tasks
► Management of and participation in projects in the field of spatial planning
► Coordination tasks and collaboration in cross-departmental projects
► Participation in the overall planning and management of the department in all matters
► Order preparation for individual transactions, preparation and evaluation of tenders
► Monitoring legislation and developments in spatial planning
► Support of the Commission Secretariat for Spatial Planning
What you bring with you
► Spatially related higher education (spatial planning, architecture with further training in spatial planning or similar)
► Practical experience in spatial planning
► Project leadership and project management experience
► Initiative, organizational skills and fluency in written expression
► Negotiating skills and assertiveness when dealing with authorities and contractors
► Interest in the overall development of the region and in cross-departmental cooperation in the office team
