Information from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on February 13 said that a special art program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the birth of “Outline of Vietnamese Culture” (1943-2023) is expected to take place in the evening. February 28, at the Hanoi Opera House.
The program is themed “Outline of Vietnamese culture–Historical imprints,” directed by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, the Department of Performing Arts is the unit directing the implementation.
People’s Artist Tran Binh writes the script and assumes the role of General Director; artist Elite Quynh Trang, Director of the Vietnam Contemporary Art Theater as art director. Composing and arranging music is Major General, musician Duc Trinh; People’s Artist, composer Trong Dai and musician Ho Trong Tuan.
The special art program is more than 70 minutes long, consisting of 3 chapters. The first chapter is entitled “Culture lights the way for the nation“with works: medley”Torch lights the way,” “Party flag” and “Music caravan.”
Chapter two is titled “Culture of resistance, cultural resistance“with some songs that have accompanied many generations of Vietnamese people such as “Grateful to Ho Chi Minh,” “Hanoi people,” “Song Lo River,” medley “Firecrackers,” “Liberation of Dien Bien”…

Chapter three is “As long as the culture remains, the nation remains.“with performances of repertoire like medleys”I am proud to go up oh Vietnam,” “Fly over the East Sea,” medley “Culture lights the way for the nation to go,” “Oh Vietnam, let’s move on”…
This is a very special art program. There are still familiar tunes with many songs accompanying the years, but through it, the audience will feel many messages and meanings that the writers, artists, and program crews send.
The program is performed by the artists of the Vietnam Contemporary Art Theater, in collaboration with the Central Science and Documentary Film Studio; Vietnam National Academy of Music; Vietnam Dance Academy; Drum Union of the Ministry of Public Security; Ceremonial Delegation of the Ministry of National Defense; Hanoi University of Culture and the Central University of Art Education.

At a meeting with units on the preparation of organizing a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the “Outline of Vietnamese Culture”, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that this is not only It’s not an art program but a political and cultural program. Therefore, the implementation team needs to innovate the way of doing things, showing the issues of historical significance but still have to be new and attractive…/.
