The Ministry of Health is starting vaccination with new vaccines once morest COVID-19

The Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic begins vaccination with new vaccines from manufacturers Sanofi Pasteur, Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech. Vaccination will start from Monday, January 30 of this year in selected vaccination centers. It will be possible to apply for vaccination with these vaccines from Thursday, January 26 of this year through the website korona.gov.sk or by phone at the call center of the National Center for Health Information (NCZI). It is still possible to use vaccination without registration. The list of vaccination centers along with the schedule is published and regularly updated on the website of the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health announced this in a press release.

The new vaccines are Sanofi Pasteur’s VidPrevtyn Beta for people over 18, Spikevax bivalent Original/Omicron BA.4-5 for people over 18 and Comirnaty Original/Omicron BA.4-5 for children aged 5 to 11 years, which will only be available as booster doses. Comirnaty vaccine for infants and children aged 6 months to 4 years will be given in the basic vaccination schedule. In addition to the application of booster doses, it is still possible to vaccinate the basic scheme – that is, the administration of the first and second doses with the original vaccines once morest COVID-19.
