FPÖ with 29% at highest value since Ibiza / ÖVP and SPÖ share second place with 24%
Vienna (OTS) – In the large “profil” monthly survey, the FPÖ was able to extend its lead and is still in first place with 29% (+1 compared to January). The People’s Party gains 2 percentage points and takes second place with 24% – together with the SPÖ (+/-0). Behind them are the Greens (-2) with 10%, level with the NEOS (+1). This is the result of a survey conducted by the opinion research institute Unique Research for the current publication “profil”.
In the fictitious question of chancellor, ÖVP incumbent Karl Nehammer loses slightly and is only just ahead: After 20% in January, only 18% would vote for him directly in February, while SPÖ leader Pamela Rendi-Wagner increased from 12% to 15%. FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl remains in second place with 17%.
When asked regarding the government’s corona management in the last three years, 39% judged the measures to be “exaggerated”, 45% “with a sense of proportion”, 8% as “too careless”. Another 8% are undecided. Only 30% of those surveyed feel that the government’s support measures once morest inflation have relieved them financially.
39% of respondents are in favor of new elections “as soon as possible”, 47% are of the opinion that the government should continue working.
