Professor of the National Medical Research Center of Oncology called the only way to boost immunity to fight tumors

– A number of autoimmune (rheumatic) diseases are known, in which the immune system begins to produce antibodies and fight its own cells. This occurs in diseases of systemic lupus, rheumatoid arthritis. In patients with such diagnoses, healthy joints and muscles are affected by their own immune system. In the body of healthy people, this is prevented by special inhibition / blocking mechanisms, – explains Irina Baldueva.

How Cancer Forms

How tell at the National Medical Research Center of Oncology. Petrov, a developing cancerous tumor also triggers inhibitory mechanisms that block the immune response. At first, antitumor immunity still tries to control cancer cells, but with difficulty. And then it ceases to recognize them at all – the tumor begins to grow uncontrollably and spread throughout the body. Moreover, it acts so selectively – only on immunity once morest tumors.

– All other types of immunity, for example, anti-infective, work. We can say that “ordinary” immunity continues to guard the health of a cancer patient and protect him, for example, from viruses,” says Irina Baldueva.
