The Washington Academy of Political Arts & Sciences® is proud to announce that professor and expert consultant in political communication Luis Barroso Denis has been nominated in the category of merit for excellence in teaching of the 2024 Napolitan Victory Awards
Luis Barroso Denis (Caracas, 1980) has a degree in Naval Sciences, a diploma in Planning, Organization and Management, and four masters: in International Studies, in Political Marketing, in Digital Product Management and in City and Urbanism. Professionally, he has developed his career mainly in teaching and consulting in political communication in Latin America and Spain. He has been responsible for more than 25 municipal election campaigns in Mexico, with effective management of crisis situations and training of spokespersons and communication teams. In Spain, he has been chief of staff and coordinator of the municipal political group in the Barcelona City Council, developing different communication and political strategy plans, as well as team management and day-to-day decision-making. In Spain he has also directed and participated in electoral, regional and municipal campaigns.
In teaching, he has developed his career as a professor in the Master in Political Marketing and Postgraduate courses at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) managed by the Institute of Political and Social Sciences (ICPS) and as a professor in the Master in Political Marketing and Postgraduate courses at the Inter-American Center for Political Management in Miami. He has taught classes on crisis communication and political communication, and has also been part of various thesis committees, as well as being a tutor for master’s degree final projects. Within this field, he has given various international conferences on political communication, strategy and artificial intelligence.

In addition, political luminaries such as Epsy Campbell Barr, former Vice President of Costa Rica, Martha Lucía Ramírez, former Vice President of Colombia, and José Mujica, former President of Uruguay, have been recognized for their significant contributions. Prominent political consultants such as the late Ralph Murphine and Michel Bongrand, as well as José Luis Sanchis, a Spanish consultant, and Dick Morris, an American consultant, have also been applauded for their innovative efforts.
The 2024 Napolitan Victory Awards Gala will take place August 22-24 at the Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington, DC, where all winners in all categories will be celebrated.
