Dragonflight brings many changes for professions. With the arrival of the alpha, we will be able to discover all the new features in detail, but it is important to remember some major elements that await you in the next WoW expansion.
New component bag
At Blizzard, the intention is to increase the social aspect of professions. This is why we will see crafting stations landing in the Dragon Islands. To craft your items, you will therefore need to be at a station related to your profession. Stations are scattered everywhere and a big hub will also be in Valdrakken, the new capital. This hub will also have profession masters, NPCs allowing you to place orders, others related to the auction house, etc.
We will still point out that the alchemists will be entitled to an exclusivity, namely a portable station to allow them to concoct potions all over the world.
In Dragonfight, the number of ingredients and crafting components will increase quite drastically. In order to help players store all this, several features have been implemented:
- A new type of bag, the bag of components. It is added to the end of your line of bags and will work on the same rules as the bank of components. You will find your first bag when you level up in the Dragon Islands.
- The components can be stored by 1000 instead of 200.
- Many crafted items can be stored by 200 instead of 20 (potions, additional components, etc.).
Blizzard will also make life easier for players who do Calligraphy and Jewelry. Grinding and prospecting will be greatly accelerated, with the ability to consume as many ingredients as you want in one go. Ingredients will also be separated by expansion in the interface, with “Shadowlands Prospecting” for example.
Trades Equipment
Each character will have three additional slots:
- A place for a tool.
- Two slots for accessories.
Thus, the blacksmith will no longer need to have a hammer in his inventory, he will just have to place it on your character. No need to equip yourself with a fishing rod either since you can equip yourself with it at any time!
This equipment will be visible on your character and will bring various bonuses, in particular to the collection.
New 32, 34 and 36 slot bags for Couture
Dragonflight brings new 32 and 34 slot bags for the tailor. These are the Wildercoth Bag (green) and the Azureweave Pack (blue). Of course, there were already WoW 34 slot bags (Lunatic’s Baggage and Dad’s Pristine Bag), but these were very hard to get.
Note the existence of other 36-slot bags, but these are ingredient bags. These are the Simply Stitched Reagent Bag and Chronocloth Reagent Bag. The tailor will therefore also be able to supply the other players with this type of bag.
