Jeddah: Professional verification of foreigners has started in Saudi Arabia. The plan is to check the documents proving the educational qualification of those who are on work visa. In the first phase, 62 countries will cooperate to complete the inspection process.
The Professional Verification Service was launched in collaboration with the Ministries of Human Resources, Social Development and External Affairs. Initially, the project will be implemented in a phased manner through a unified platform in collaboration with 62 countries. The new service is to verify the eligibility documents of those coming to Saudi Arabia on work visas from these countries.
For this, the candidates will have to produce the original certificates to prove the educational qualification for each job. Also, documents to prove the experience are mandatory for those applying for jobs with previous experience. This aims to ensure that workers have sufficient educational qualifications and previous experience before entering the Saudi workforce.
This is to build an attractive labor market and empower and develop the work environment in Saudi Arabia. The ministry also hopes to improve the quality of staff, raise the standard of professional services and increase productivity.
