Professional profile validated for registration of MSME consultants

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Government presented and validated the professional profile for business consultants for SMEs. This effort, which has the support of public, private and academic sectors, is part of the creation of the registry of business consultants.

The tool will allow the creation of an online register of consultants. Professionals will be able to register in four categories: senior business consultant, junior business consultant, senior business consultant and junior business consultant.

Gustavo Giménez, Vice Minister of MSMEs, said that this format is essential to create more favorable conditions for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as for consultants, contributing to market growth. “We must encourage MSMEs to offer services in new sectors, and professionals can help them prepare to take advantage of market opportunities,” he stressed.

Services with impact

The Director General of Training and Technical Assistance of the Vice Ministry of MSMEs, Rosmery Argaña, stressed that business consultants and advisors are essential for microenterprises to receive high-quality business development services, with efficiency and, above all, with impact. She stressed that if MSMEs are productive and competitive, this will benefit the country.

“We have worked with consultants under the policy that business development services, training and technical assistance must be accessible and, above all, of quality for MSMEs. For this reason, a registry is being created that we seek to turn into a public policy tool, with a national database that includes all professionals, advisors and consultants, and from which to certify competencies,” explained Argaña.

For his part, Alfredo Mongelos, Technical Secretary of Sinafocal, welcomed the joint work, pointing out that this effort will benefit the sector, generating a positive impact on the national economy.

Unify the database

The Register of Business Consultants aims to be a mechanism to integrate a unified database containing information on people with the necessary skills profile to be accredited as business consultants. In addition, it will offer the possibility of obtaining official accreditation, and the register platform will highlight the skills and experience of business consultants, thus increasing their potential.
