Professional and trade practices in gas plants for technical school students concluded

This Friday the certificates were delivered to students from the technical schools -EPET N° 1 of Cutral Co and EPET N° 10 of Plaza Huincul– that specified the professional practices and the trade program as an assistant in gas conditioning plants. The training was completed through the Neuquén Regional Faculty of the UTN; los municipalities from both cities and Pampa Energy.

They completed the training journey 54 students who are currently studying the last year of the techniques EPET N° 1 (de Cutral Co) y EPET N° 10 (from Plaza Huincul). To carry out the training, the facilities and teachers of the Regional Faculty of Neuquén of the UTN and the company that operates the gaseous deposit El Mangrullo.

“The university was taken over with approval by Pampa Energía and we are proud, because the interaction between university, State, company is achieved and is what drives a system forward,” said the dean of the FRN – UTN, Pablo Liscovsky. And he noted that it is the first of what he hopes will be many joint activities with the Pampa Energía Foundation.

“We have been doing a sustained program since 2016 where we have a program to support educational trajectories,” said the representative of the Foundation, Mariana Corti. She reported that more than 900 high school and university students since then. They are accompanied by tutoring and scholarships.

“Here this alliance is a model and I hope it can be replicated with other companies: working with the municipalities of Cutral Co, Plaza Huincul and with the UTN, and the Ministry of Government and Education,” he said. He then noted that many of the students achieve this type of learning that aims to put into practice practice what they know at school and take it to the working world.

“It is important that they be able to interact with workers in the industry and for many it may be the first time they have been introduced to a company like Pampa or formal employment,” he concluded.

In turn, Huinculense mayor Claudio Larraza stressed that “it is our obligation to accompany this challenge.” He highlighted the joint work, and the support that the municipality provides and will continue to do so. “Our horizon is to accompany public and private tasks to decisively insert ourselves into the labor market,” he said.

Finally, the communal head of Cutral Co, Jesús San Martín, mentioned that “the profile of graduates allows them to follow this training to enter the labor market.” “Education is what matters to us and makes us grow as a city,” he concluded.

Thirty students received the certificate in professional practices and the remaining 14 received training for the job of gas plant maintenance assistant.
