Productivity Innovation from Investissement Québec: $191.3 million invested in Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec

A little over two years following the launch of its Productivity Innovation initiative, Investissement Québec is reporting positively on its interventions in Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec. 117 projects were supported, totaling $191.3 million in funding.

“Our regional team is able to offer the financial, technological and strategic support necessary for companies to initiate or continue their technological transition and increase their competitiveness. With the various means at our disposal, we are able to propel businesses and have concrete impacts to increase the productivity and innovation of businesses in the region,” said Nathalie Desjardins, Regional Director, Mauricie and Centre-du -Quebec at Investissement Quebec.

Implemented in the fall of 2020, the Productivity innovation initiative aims to boost the competitiveness and accelerate the growth of local businesses through productivity and innovation.

Financial solutions and support, particularly technological, offered by Investissement Québec – CRIQ, are accessible to entrepreneurs and business leaders from all regions of Québec to improve productivity by focusing on innovation in all its forms, using digitization, robotization, 3D printing or artificial intelligence.

For the Productivity Innovation initiative, Investissement Québec and the Government of Québec have set themselves a funding target of $2.4 billion over four years at the national level, in complementarity with proposals from financial institutions and private partners.
