HOFER and its supplier I.Schroeder KG (GmbH & Co) are recalling the item “ASIA coconut milk 400 ml” with the best before date June 30, 2025.
Sattledt (OTS) – The product “ASIA coconut milk 400 ml” from I.Schroeder KG (GmbH & Co), with the best before date 30.06.2025 and the batch number 26625331022 is being recalled by the supplier I.Schroeder KG (GmbH & Co) and HOFER KG for reasons of precautionary consumer protection.
Examinations of the item ASIA coconut milk 400 ml revealed increased residues of bisphenol-A (BPA). BPA is a chemical compound that can have hormone-like effects in the body. Bisphenol A is used, among other things, to produce epoxy resins, which are used to coat the inside of tin cans.
Consumption of the product is not recommended.
The products were on sale in HOFER branches in Vienna, Carinthia, Styria and Burgenland as well as in parts of Tyrol, Salzburg and Lower Austria. The sale of the products was stopped immediately.
The affected products can be returned to all HOFER branches. Of course, customers will also be reimbursed the purchase price without proof of purchase. This warning does not imply that the hazard was caused by the producer, manufacturer or distributor.
