Trainees from the survival audition program “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS” performed today, September 9th, before the game “Chiba Lotte Marines vs. Orix Buffaloes” held at ZOZO Marine Stadium in Chiba.
“PRODUCE 101” is an audition program from South Korea where members are selected from among 101 trainees through viewer voting by “national producers.” The “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN” series has so far produced two 11-member boy groups, JO1 and INI, but this time, auditions for a girl group will be held for the first time in the series.
The trainees performed the audition theme song “LEAP HIGH! ~Tomorrow, Meppaippai~” and excited the venue. Additionally, Miu Sakurai pitched a ceremonial pitch on behalf of the trainees.
