Al-Marsad newspaper: Experts have revealed that high blood cholesterol causes problems in the legs, such as peripheral arteriosclerosis.

According to the data of the Vascular Center Clinic at the University of California, Davis, the symptoms of high cholesterol level do not appear, but can cause complications, the most dangerous of which is lameness “pain and cramps”, and signs of peripheral arteriosclerosis are fatigue and burning in the buttocks, thighs and legs muscle while walking.

The center’s experts indicated that the factors for developing the disease are smoking, advanced age, diabetes, overweight or obesity, lethargy, high blood pressure, and genetic factors as well, according to “Novosti”.

Regarding reducing the risk of high cholesterol level in the blood, it must first of all reduce its level, by reducing the intake of foods containing saturated fats, and replacing some of them with unsaturated fats.
