Prizessin Diana: These were her favorite perfumes

There are few celebrities with a comparable star status who can match the fame of the Brit – the same applies to her popularity. People around the world still celebrate the former Crown Princess, who was married to the British heir to the throne, Prince Charles, from 1981 to 1996. She was loved and adored, not least because of her warm, heartfelt and helpful nature. The Princess of Wales was also already considered an absolute style icon at the time and, 25 years following her tragic death, continues to serve as a source of inspiration for fashion and hairstyling. Another exciting fact regarding Lady Di is her choice of fragrance. Of course, the princess also demonstrated the highest sense of style and relied on distinctive yet unobtrusive perfumes that not only tell a story, but also convey an attitude towards life.

Lady Diana’s 4 favorite perfumes

Basically very classic, with the right pinch of unconventional extravagance – that best describes the fragrances of Lady Diana. Nevertheless, each of her favorite fragrances is unique in its own way. Below you can find out all regarding their favorite signature perfumes and we have another good news: all of them are still available! Which of these sensual fragrance experiences might suit you? See for yourself:

Diana’s favorite scent was very British: “Bluebell” by Penhaglion

Since 1978, “Bluebell” has exuded a fresh, playful fragrance with citrus as the top note and hyacinth, lily of the valley, cyclamen and jasmine as the middle notes. Her all-time favorite is rounded off with galbanum, cloves and cinnamon. Incidentally, Penhaligon’s London is a British perfume house that was founded in 1870. The first fragrances were inspired by a neighboring Turkish hammam.

One of Diana’s favorites for the summer: 24 Faubourg by Hermès

24 Faubourg has only been around since 1995 and is the perfect choice for summer. Floral top and heart notes are surrounded by iris, wood, vanilla and gray amber – just to name a few ingredients. The high quality standards of the traditional house of Hermès are fully reflected in this fragrance. No wonder it was Lady Di’s favorite for the summer. The perfume reminds us of a hot day, filled with sun and all kinds of daydreams.

Lady Diana’s more intense choice: “Diorissimo” by Dior

“Diorissimo” by Dior was launched in 1956 and smells, at least in comparison, a little more intense than the other fragrances of the princess. Jasmine stands out in particular, embedded in a bouquet of green notes, sandalwood and civet. Although this composition no longer corresponds to the original, it smells at least as good!

A special perfume for a special day, her wedding fragrance: “Quelques Fleurs” by Houbigant Paris

Normally, the Princess of Wales stayed true to her scents – with one small exception: “Quelques Fleur” by Houbigant Paris. Of course, following all, a wedding can be something very special. And this 1912 creation is truly majestic! It combines fresh citrus notes with floral elegance and rounds off the ensemble with seductive musk and warm vanilla – a fragrance made for a style icon. The perfume contains a special blend of flowers and more than 15,000 petals are needed for one ounce (approx. 31 grams) of this fragrant gold. There are also over 250 other raw materials. This is definitely a fragrance that will not be forgotten so quickly!

Eine Hommage an Lady Diana: „Eau de Parfum 105 YMC” von Bon Parfumeuer x YMC

This fragrance wasn’t in Lady Diana’s bathroom, but she would certainly have liked it just as much: The “Eau de parfum 105 YMC”, which was created in cooperation with the French perfume manufacturer Bon Parfumeur and the British fashion brand YMC, is a modern one Interplay of all your favorite scents. In addition to selected flowers, it also contains tangerine, sandalwood, cinnamon and saffron.

Exudes Diana vibes: “Blooming Summer” by Aemium

The perfumes from Aemium have fascinated us for a long time, because the label combines French fragrance tradition with contemporary values. For example, all products are vegan, eco-certified and sustainable. And not to mention the scents… our absolute Diana fragrance is “Blooming Summer”. It combines citrus notes with ylang-ylang, coconut, vanilla, cedar and almond.
