The comedy “Prisoner of the Caucasus” brought Natalya Varley deafening popularity and reverence for men. But the role of the beauty and athlete Nina might not have been hers, because the artist had no acting experience. Varley started her career as a circus performer. Once she wanted to try her hand at cinema and came to audition for Leonid Gaidai. Natalya Vladimirovna did not believe in success, but enthusiasm took over.
