A prisoner was stabbed to death and two others were injured in the Fulton County jail in Georgia, where former US President Donald Trump spent 20 minutes on August 24 to be booked for attempting to commit electoral fraud.
County authorities reported that the incident occurred on Thursday followingnoon without providing further details on the identity of the victims or the reasons for the attack.

So far this year, nine prisoners have died in the Fulton jail, five of them in the last 30 days, according to local media reports.
The Fulton County Jail is known for the harsh conditions in which inmates live, to the point that the Justice Department launched an investigation into its operation in July.
Thursday’s deadly attack comes just hours following Harrison Floyd, one of Trump’s allies and also indicted in trying to overturn his defeat in the 2020 presidential election, was released from Georgian prison.

Floyd, leader of the Black Voices for Trump organization, was released Wednesday following spending six days in Fulton prison.
Floyd, the only one of the 19 accused of the attempted fraud who has spent a night in prison, was released from jail following agreeing to a $100,000 bail.
