BOUMERDES- The Minister of Tourism and Crafts, Mokhtar Didouche affirmed, Saturday in Boumerdes, that priority for the management of beaches during the next summer season will be given to professionals and specialists, in accordance with the provisions of the laws in force in this matter.
In a statement to the press on the sidelines of his inspection visit to several projects in the sector in the wilaya of Boumerdès, Mr. Didouche indicated that regarding the management of beaches during the next summer season, “the competent, experienced and professionals will have priority, in accordance with the provisions of the laws in force.
He indicated that his visit to the wilaya of Boumerdes is part of the field monitoring of preparations for the summer season, to inquire regarding the state of preparation of the beaches, and the inspection of construction sites. construction of several hotel units, in addition to the laying of the foundation stone for other projects currently underway and the inauguration of new completed projects.
The “dynamics” that the wilaya is experiencing thanks to the projects completed and in progress, “will make it possible to promote, market and develop seaside tourism” for which the wilaya is recognized, he continued.
Inspecting projects for the construction of several hotels in this wilaya, Mr. Didouche urged investors “not to import” the various hotel equipment, such as furniture and tableware for restaurants, but to favor local products. available which is distinguished by “its high quality”, and this to “promote local production”, he said.
The minister began his working visit by the seafront of the town of Boumerdes where he followed a presentation on the sector before inspecting a new private hotel with 243 beds and another with a capacity of 155 beds, entered in service last year.
He also inquired regarding a project to build a private hotel with a capacity of 344 beds and another project with a capacity of 168 beds, before laying the first stone for the launch of a private hotel project with 150 beds and another with a capacity of 150 beds in the commune of Boudouaou.
The minister then proceeded, among other things, to the inauguration of the House of Crafts and Trades, before visiting an exhibition of traditional crafts organized in the same house.
He also went to the beach +le Dauphin+, where he received a presentation on the work on its redevelopment in anticipation of the next summer season.
