Ambassador Nabila Makram, founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fahim Foundation for Psychological Support and former Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Affairs Abroad, stressed that mental health must be paid attention to and included in the programs of institutions and schools, and support and awareness should be provided to children, teachers and families.

This came during a symposium organized by the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Yacht Club and the Cultural Committee headed by Heidi El Shafei, in cooperation with the Fahim Foundation for Psychological Support, titled How to be better parents and how to deal with our children.
Ambassador Nabila Makram, former Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad, talked regarding the term bullying, and how to reduce this phenomenon, as she confirmed that bullying is a form of abuse directed towards an individual or a group of people.
Raise awareness
The participants in the symposium emphasized the importance of spreading awareness of mental health, in the presence of Dr. Yousry El-Gamal, former Minister of Education, Eng. Nadia Abdo, former Governor of Buhaira and Consul General of China in Alexandria Yang Yi and Sarah Sorour, member of the Board of Directors of the Club, Dr. Enas Diab, Head of the Creativity Center, and Dr. Magda. El Shazly, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Alexandria, Major General Tarek Heikal, Executive Director of the Club, and a group of Yacht Club members.
Dr. Abeer Murad, Head of the Media Committee of the Yacht Club, said: The symposium comes within the framework of the club and the cultural committee’s interest in awareness, which is the main goal of the event by promoting and developing that culture that connects fathers with children and vice versa.
