It’s a good opportunity for Laura to show Brussels and our beautiful country to her in-laws, but also, as the mayor noticed, because Laura’s parents (Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz) got married here at City Hall on September 22, 1984“. The mayor adds that “all Belgians also have in mind the wedding of Philippe and Mathilde at the town hall. When a member of the royal family gets married here, it’s always moving. It’s going to be a moment of joy and it’s a beautiful image for Brussels“.

The guests of the civil wedding will be welcomed by 24 Brussels police cadets in the central courtyard of the town hall. The civil witnesses will be on the one hand the sisters of Princess Maria Laura, the Princesses Luisa and Lætitia, and on the other hand the brother and sister of William Isvy.
