I wish her that she can prepare for many more years. She would only be 28 and the king would only be king for 17 years. Vincent Dujardin speaks in particular on the military level, but also academy and linguistics. “She still lacks political training, economic training. And also being able to take flight on a personal basis. I don’t think that 2030 is a date set for the moment. There does indeed seem to be more support for the monarchy in the south of the country, according to the latest barometer. “But there is more support for the republic in Brussels, for example”notes our guest. “It means that there are more indifferent, without opinions, in the north of the country.”
He also believes that people respond on an institutional rather than a personal level. “We also see that it is the voters of the extremes – Vlaams-Belang on the right and PTB on the left – who lower the average. It is therefore more an institutional reflex than people.”
