Princess Charlène: Prince Albert speaks openly about her absence

There are difficult months behind Princess Charlène (44) and her husband Prince Albert II (64). The ex-professional swimmer was stuck in her former homeland of South Africa last year with an ear, nose and throat infection. For half a year she might not travel back. When she was finally allowed to fly to Monaco, she didn’t have much time with her husband and their twins Gabriella and Jacques (both 7). Because the Princess was suffering from physical and mental exhaustion, which is why she was treated in a clinic outside the Principality.

Now Prince Albert reveals how much time has weighed on the family. In an interview with “Le Journal du Dimanche” he says: “That was an exam! A test especially for my wife, who suffered greatly and experienced difficult moments away from her loved ones. A test for our children and for myself. We missed the princess very much. »
