Princess Beatrice surprised the world this week with adorable news: she is having another child. Royal fans and their family are delighted, but one close relative in particular may have had a load lifted from their hearts.
There are offspring coming to the royal home: Princess Beatrice, 36, is becoming a mother again. “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child together early in the new year: a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna,” said an official statement from Buckingham Palace on October 1st. A wonderful message that, after a difficult year, will finally bring a little joy back to the faces of the Windsors – and will especially please Prince Andrew, 64 – not just because he will be a grandfather again.

The royal family had to contend with severe blows of fate this year: the cancer of King Charles, 75, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, is still causing great concern within the Royal Family. Kate has now been able to give the all-clear: her preventative chemotherapy has been completed, but she will continue to receive close medical support. There has not yet been a similarly hopeful signal from the monarch. We still have to be afraid.
But Prince Andrew’s past has also caught up with the Windsors in recent months. He is and remains the problem offspring of the late Queen Elizabeth, †96, and continues to make headlines.
