Spat regarding moving from Amalia of the Netherlands
Because Princess is moving in, students have to move out
Princess Amalia will start her studies in Amsterdam in September. Her move to the Dutch capital is already causing a stir.
Princess Amalia of the Netherlands (18) leaves her parents’ home. The heir to the throne is moving to the capital, where she will start her Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE) at the University of Amsterdam in September.
According to the Dutch edition of “Harper’s Bazaar”, Amalia will live with some friends in a student house on the Singel. This is already causing a stir. Because according to Bart Ettekoven (50), the court reporter for the magazine “Weekend”, this is said to cost some students their previous homes. Because of Amalia’s move, they should now have to move out.

Amalia wants to join a fraternity
Amalia would like to join a student association. “I don’t know which one yet, but I’m really looking forward to it. Meet a lot of new people, learn a lot of new things, »said the heir to the throne in June. However, this wish does not cause much enthusiasm among her future colleagues. Because where the Dutch Crown Princess is, her bodyguards are too.
“They find it a bit annoying because it’s a closed community where everyone can do whatever they want. You definitely don’t want photos to be published. Then someone comes along who both monitors and carries the risk that photos will leak,” explains Royal expert Annemarie de Kunde RTL. Her bodyguards are likely to make contact with her fellow students difficult. (bsn)
