A video released by The Royal Watcher has gone viral on TikTok. We see the Prince of Wales talking to a little boy, who does not recognize him.
It is a tender moment of exchange that has gone viral on social networks. Prince William had a conversation with a little boy during a walk in Windsor on May 7: the Prince of Wales and his wife Kate Middleton had indeed surprised the inhabitants who had gathered for a big lunch, the day following the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
In this video shared on TikTok by the fan account The Royal Watcherthe prince was introduced to a three-year-old boy who seemed delighted to be there, albeit a little confused: not only did he not recognize Prince William, but he also confused him with a politician.

“How soon will we be able to see Prince William?” Asked the child to the son of King Charles, who then played the game, winking at the parents present and starting to joke: “We don’t know where he is! Have you ever met him?” What the young boy replied in the negative. We can then hear William continue: “Where do you think he is? Do you think he went that way?” pointing happily to his left. Continuing the joke, the prince added: “He might be here in a minute – we’ll see if he’s there.”
“Do you know what my name is?” he finally asks her. The answer is rather comical: “Uh… The government?” The prince laughs at these words, looking down at his navy blue suit: “No, I’m not the government – I look like the government, don’t I?”
The Prince of Wales then surprised his new friend by explaining to him: “My name is William too”. “You are Prince William?!” the boy shouts as he reaches out his hand. The young boy calls out to his mother: “It’s Prince William, mom!” William concludes, “So nice to meet you guys!”
Prince William is one of the most popular members of the Windsors. In March, a study signed YouGov has raised the Prince of Wales to the rank of the Crown’s most liked personality with 72% of good opinions.
