Prince William: The sweet promise he made to a volunteer for Kate [βίντεο] 2024-04-23 11:55:34

The Prince of Wales visited a food distribution charity, Surplus to Supper, in Sunbury-on-Thames in Surrey.

The prince, wearing a simple navy blue jacket, rolled up his sleeves and helped make bolognese sauce in the kitchen before loading the meals onto trucks.

William received several cards for Kate and King Charles from volunteer Rachel Candappa, MailOnline and The Sun report.

He then said, “You are very kind. Thank you very much, that is very kind of you.”

When the volunteer told William to take care of Kate, he put his left hand on her shoulder and said “I will.”

Then he changed the subject to the food they were making: “Do you have spaghetti hoops? I have kids, I like spaghetti hoops.”

He was also photographed from the passenger seat of one of the vans.

The Prince of Wales is then expected to visit a youth center in west London, which receives food parcels from the organisation.

The Palace said: “Reducing food waste has a significant number of environmental benefits, including reducing landfill emissions that contribute to climate change.”

“Protecting the environment for future generations is one of the Prince of Wales’ key priorities.”

This is not the first time William has made bolognese.

Kate revealed in 2019 that William used to cook it for her during their studies, The Mirror reported.

Founded in 2017, Surplus to Supper procures and distributes an average of 10 tons of food per week to food banks, schools, nursing homes, faith-based organizations and youth centers.
