This was one of the questions for fans of the British royal family: who would King Charles III send to Jordan to represent his clan at the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and the magnificent Rajwa? If it was first mentioned Princess Anne, or even Prince Edward … it was Prince William and Kate Middleton who landed this Wednesday evening in Amman!
Normally on vacation from their royal duties this week (because their children George, Charlotte and Louis are on leave), the couple finally decided to treat themselves to a little break for two in Jordan and should appear in gala attire for the wedding as well only for the reception which will follow and to which all the prestigious guests are invited.
But before putting on her dress (which promises to be spectacular!) or her tiara, the Princess of Wales arrived in Jordan in a sober look, practical for the plane. Dressed in a black Alexander McQueen suit and her eternal Gianvito Rossi pumps, she was of course accompanied by her husband and was seen in a hotel in the Jordanian capital. The children, too young for this kind of international event, had stayed at home.
Their arrival, unexpected, was then confirmed by British journalists who explained that the information had not been given before for security for the royal couple. As a reminder, Prince Hussein is the eldest son of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan and will marry Rajwa, a young Saudi woman he met during his studies in the United States. Crown Prince since 2009, the 28-year-old attended a bachelor party on Wednesday evening with his little brother Hashem (18) and his cousins.
