Prince Louis steals the show from the Queen during the Queen’s Jubilee

This year’s Trooping the Color celebration was supposed to be regarding Queen Elizabeth. After all, the monarch has been on the throne in Great Britain for 70 years and is therefore celebrating her platinum anniversary in London from June 2nd to 5th. Her great-grandson Prince Louis stole the show from the 96-year-old on Thursday – when the royal family appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

From there, the royals watched the air show that was held to celebrate the day. 70 helicopters and planes buzzed over the palace – and made a huge noise. Apparently four-year-old Prince Louis didn’t think that was great and covered his ears in annoyance. In addition, despite warnings from his mother Kate, the young royal might not help but twist his face into terribly cute grimaces.

With his facial expressions, the prince not only made the local audience smile – the power of the internet turned the four-year-old into a meme on social media. Twitter in particular is amused by Louis’ grimaces: “The boy should have been an actor or comedian and not Royal,” wrote one user on the platform, while another said: “Prince Louis on the balcony of Buckingham Palace describes my mood perfect.”
