The Windsors reunited to celebrate Easter around King Charles III

In 2022, Princess Charlotte made her first appearance at the Easter service. Last year, the royal family gathered in large numbers to celebrate Easter in this Platinum Jubilee year and in a more favorable context since the start of the health crisis. The Windsors might not have guessed that this would be Elizabeth II’s last Easter.

This April 9, 2023, King Charles III had gathered his people for the first time on Easter Sunday. King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla had around them the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with their son, the Earl of Wessex. Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence were present.

Prince Andrew and his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie who were accompanied by their husbands, were present. Zara and Mike Tindall were accompanied by their two daughters, Mia and Lena Tindall, not far from Peter Phillips, Zara’s brother. Finally, Lady Sarah Chatto was also seen in front of the entrance to the chapel of Saint-Georges de Windsor with her husband, Daniel Chatto.

Prince Louis of Wales makes big Easter debut in tie and shorts

Prince William and Princess Catherine had taken their three children with them for the first time. Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4. The young prince, who will celebrate his 5th birthday in a few days, had never attended the service before. As always, the press is jolly when they can attend for the first time.

People Magazine detailed the outfit of Prince Louis of Wales who “wore blue shorts and knee-high socks with a blazer and a tie with bicycle motifs”. The magazine recalled that Louis seems to like the bike because he had already posed “memorably on a red bicycle for his third birthday portrait”.

This Easter service was special in more ways than one for King Charles and Queen Camilla. It was of course their first Easter without Queen Elizabeth and therefore the first festivities of the reign of Charles III. Above all, Sunday April 9 coincided to the day with the 18th wedding anniversary of the royal couple.
