Prince Harry will sit “ten rows behind” the other royals at the coronation of his father, King Charles III. A royal insider told The Sun. Former royal butler Paul Burrell (64) also revealed that the Duke of Sussex hardly had time to speak to the king or his brother, Prince William, during his short visit in May. He also believes that there will be “no chance” of reconciliation – especially not following Harry’s memoir “Spare”.
Advantage of rear placement in the church
While at first glance it might appear that the tenth row is a snub for Harry, the Duke of Sussex might also benefit from this position. The former royal aide-de-camp is certain that the rear position in Westminster Abbey might be helpful for him if he really wants to make a quick exit.
In an interview with GB News, Burrell says: “He doesn’t want to spend a lot of time with the other family members. I think he’ll get an icy reception from the Windsors.” He adds that he doesn’t think Harry “will be staying around for long” as he is due to leave the UK within 24 hours.
“Harry comes to put his foot in the door, and he comes because his father wants him to be there,” fumes the former butler. Burrell, who was a close confidant of Princess Diana, nonetheless believes the king will be “delighted” that his two sons will be present at his coronation.
Harry’s wife, Duchess Meghan (41), and their two children, Prince Archie (3) and Princess Lilibet (1), will remain in their adopted home of the United States and will therefore not attend the coronation on May 6 in London. (kao)
