Prince Harry to attend King Charles’ coronation without Meghan Markle – Meduza

Prince Harry will attend the coronation of King Charles, scheduled for May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London, BBC News reports, citing a statement from Buckingham Palace.

Prince’s wife Meghan Markle will miss the ceremony. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a statement that Meghan “will be staying in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.” On the day of the coronation, Prince Archie celebrates his fourth birthday.

In early March, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited to the coronation, but until recently it remained unclear whether they would go to the ceremony.

With Harry no longer holding royal duties, it’s unclear what role he will be given at the ceremony. On the Queen’s anniversary, Harry and Meghan were not allowed to participate in the traditional exit of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, BBC News notes.

Harry’s participation in the coronation will be his first meeting with members of the royal family since the publication of the Prince’s book “Spare” (“Spare”), which became a bestseller. In his memoirs, Harry, in particular, told how he quarreled with his family.
