Grief-stricken Kelsey Parker, 32, made the confession on the latest episode of her show ‘Kelsey Parker: Life After Tom’, following Tom’s death in March last year at the age of 33 years following losing his battle with brain cancer.

Kelsey said on the final episode of the ITV series, which aired on Thursday (05.01.23): “There’s always that element of guilt, which I don’t think will go away overnight.

“It will take years and years to overcome the guilt of not being able to save him. But I know, deep in my heart, that I did everything I might.”

Kelsey made the remarks during a therapy session where she reflected on how to continue living without her husband, whose battle with stage four glioblastoma-like brain cancer lasted a year and a half. before his death.

When Kelsey’s therapist asked her to talk regarding her hopes for the future, she replied that she needed to find herself because Tom’s death left her “completely lost” and said she was in going on a “big trip” to find out “who this person is without Tom”.

Kelsey said following her counseling session, “It’s good to talk regarding the future, but the future is difficult for me.

“Right now I want to get rid of pain and feel happiness, but I know happiness is something I might not get right now.

“It’s hard, this thing I live with is endless, it’s endless grief. Grief is just a weird, weird thing…grief will always be there…you learn to grow around it. your sorrow.”

Kelsey admitted in December that Christmas with her kids was a struggle without Tom, and said on Instagram, “Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you to everyone who commented and messaged this year. I read them all and have so many support really means the world.

“If you miss someone today, remember that there’s no right or wrong way to feel. Do what’s right for you and be kind to yourself.”
