The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will arrive in Colombia this Thursday, August 15, with an agenda focused on eliminating violence against children.
Vice President Francia Márquez announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit different regions, such as Bogotá, Cartagena and Cali.
Prince Harry and Meghan, who stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and now reside in California, were invited by the vice president to the first-ever Global Ministerial Conference to End Violence Against Children, scheduled for November.
The conference will cover topics such as cyberbullying, online exploitation and threats to children’s mental health.

The Duke and Duchess will begin their visit with a press conference, which will be broadcast on the vice-presidency’s social media, where the topics on their agenda will be discussed.

On August 16, the agenda will focus on the socio-emotional well-being of young people, including a visit to another educational institution where the importance of mental health will be discussed.
