The Coronation Ceremony of King Charles was held on Saturday (6/5/2023). Prince Harry was at the event, but it seemed like he wasn’t there.
He is indeed one of the figures to look forward to at the event. The youngest child of King Charles was also present even though he is no longer an active member of the royal family.
His decision to leave the palace and live in California made Prince Harry no longer have a role in the British Empire. Including the coronation of King Charles.
Quoted from the Independent, Prince Harry is not even allowed to wear his military uniform. The decision follows royal protocol which stipulates that the inactive royal family does not wear military clothing during official state events.
Apart from Prince Harry, Andrew, King Charles’ younger brother, was also not given a special role at the coronation. It is known, his status as an active royal member has been suspended following allegations of sexual harassment were resolved out of court.
The two were also absent from the public procession behind the Golden Chariot that carried King Charles following he was crowned. Harry also did not appear on the palace balcony along with the rest of the royal family.
On the other hand, Prince William and his little family were given an important role during the coronation of King Charles.
