Prince Andrew’s appeal against his prosecution in the Epstein case rejected

A New York judge dismissed Virginia Giuffre's attorneys undermine his credibility”>Prince Andrew‘s appeal against the serious sexual abuse accusations. The court’s decision hinges on the alleged victim, Virginia Giuffre’s, lack of permanent US residency, thereby questioning the court’s jurisdiction. Giuffre alleges Andrew assaulted her during her adolescence.

Judge Lewis Kaplan rejected the appeal. He cited the plaintiff’s legal team’s promise to furnish address documentation by January 14th, as reported by US media outlets.

Kaplan’s ruling sidesteps the veracity of the claim that Andrew’s legal maneuvers aimed to postpone evidence disclosure and testimony.

Giuffre is among numerous individuals alleging victimhood within Jeffrey Epstein‘s child exploitation ring. Epstein faced charges of sexual abuse and trafficking of numerous underage girls in the early 2000s, being apprehended in July 2019.

Epstein, a wealthy individual associated with prominent figures including former US Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, was discovered deceased in his New York jail cell a month later. The manner of his death was ruled a suicide by hanging.

Besides Prince Andrew, whose initial court appearance is set for January 4th, 2020, Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, has already been convicted for abusing underage girls, including Giuffre.
