Prince Andrew banned from wearing military uniform for farewell to Queen Elizabeth II

British Prince Andrew, one of the younger sons of the departed Queen Elizabeth II, today walked along the Royal Mile of Edinburgh for the coffin of his mother and was the only sibling who did not put on a military uniform on this important day. Buckingham Palace has decided that Andrew is not worthy of such an honor and must be in civilian clothes on all but the very last day of mourning events.

Recall that Andrew was involved in a sex scandal because of his friendship with millionaire Jeffrey Epstein. The queen’s son not only did business with this man, but also took part in his famous parties. In 2015, a girl named Virginia Roberts claimed to have been Epstein’s sex slave and had forced sex with Prince Andrew three times on his estate. As part of the investigation of this dirty business, a photograph surfaced where the prince and Virginia were captured together. She was only 17 at the time.

The prince involved in the scandal was deprived of the right to be called “His Royal Highness” and suspended from participation in court events.
