(PLO)- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Belt 3 project plays a very important role in the strategy to form a transport network linking provinces, cities and key economic regions in the South.

On the afternoon of January 29, a delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the construction of component 1A project, Tan Van – Nhon Trach section (phase 1) of the Ring Road 3 project, in HCMC.

Here, localities reported project implementation progress and proposed to the Government and Prime Minister to direct neighboring localities that have unused material mines to share to serve the project.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed the 4 provinces and cities for effective cooperation to implement the project; Initially, the preparation for investment, allocating capital, preparing materials, etc. has been actively implemented by the units.

The Prime Minister said that the Government is ready to share and allocate more capital from revenue sources so that Ho Chi Minh City can supplement the Ring Road 3 project, as well as projects that are well underway but lack capital.

The Prime Minister asked the four provinces and cities to continue to closely coordinate and do well in investment preparation, especially in the design stage to avoid future adjustments.

Sharing with people, the Prime Minister emphasized that the Belt 3 project plays a very important role in the strategy to form a transport network linking provinces, cities and key economic regions in the South.

The Ring 3 project is more than 76km long, passing through Ho Chi Minh City with a total length of 47.51km; Binh Duong is 10.76km; Dong Nai is 11.26km; Long An is 6.81km.

The project has a diverging scale of 4 limited expressways, the cross-sectional width is 19.75m, with a total investment of about 75,378 billion VND from the central and local budgets. The project started in 2023 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2026.

Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has just issued Directive No. 18 on leading and directing the implementation of the Belt 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City.
